Wedding gowns

I'm usually not a huge fan on wedding gowns but these ones by Pronovias were waaay too nice not to share.

Whimsy

I randomly stumbled upon Bianca Green's work and boy oh boy I am in love! The way she magically combines her prints with day-to-day objects has left me feeling rather whimsical, not to mention a bit like Alice in Wonderland! And did I mention I am a sucker for doodles?

Am currently debating whether I should get her iPhone skins (here and here).  The detailing and colours of the prints are leaving me gasping for air!

The glittery glittery eye

I am a person who sucks at make-up. Most likely because I am rather lazy and the only thing I can cope with each morning is a quick liner fix and the trust worthy mascara. Eye shadow, on the other hand, is like no man's land to me. Perhaps it's due to the fact that I never spent the time to learn how to apply it properly. Having seen this glittery eye on The Beauty Department made me jump a little. It makes brown eyes look so adorable! :)

FYI there was a phase where I applied a golden kohl on top of my brown liner in order to add a little "umph". Now I just use black liner haha.

May 22 - Jun 3 2011

It's been a year since our viva Italia trip! WHERE DID ALL THE TIME GO?? Anyhoo, one picture of us per place in honour of this anniversary :)

Made our way from Hong Kong to London....

Had our very first gelato in Florence...

Made a quick pit stop at Pisa...

Followed by the Vatican City...

And then there was Rome...

Stopped by Napoli just for pizza...

Then headed south to Sorrento...

A sharp u-turn up north to Burano...

And took the gondola back to Venice...

Our miserable attempt at Lake Como...

But Milan was pleasant nonetheless...

Last but not least, went back to London for our return flight home.

So glad I took all the extra effort to write my travel journal! So much juicy details inside!!!

And yes Miss W, we shall conquer another country together soon!

Summer fun!

Despite puking out literally everything I swallow, there was no putting a stop to Sunday morning's wakeboarding session.

Like Jo and Chikz say, I finally got my fix!

Now I need to visualize how to do a baby jump. It's been told to be my homework!

Monday blues once again and now back to pukey pukey mode. I must say, the sleep from 4pm to 8am helped a bit on my road to recovery.

ARTHK12

Today marks the grand opening of the Hong Kong International Art Fair for the public! I would've loved to go on a weekday just to avoid the crowds and actually get to see the paintings/sculptures but alas, Saturday it is! I'm coming I'm coming!

PS the 2 for 1 deal just made it sound so much more worth it! Can't wait! :)

Coffee table book wish list

I know you can probably find all the information you need through the world wide web without paying a dime, but you know, there is something different, not to mention special, about casually flipping through pages and have certain things catching your eye. And whatever it is that pops up to you evolves over time too. How exciting!

Anyhoo, the following are on the top of my coffee table book wish list. I know my birthday is still some time away, but I am more than happy to receive any donations towards the ce fund.

Number 1: I Spy DIY Style by Jenni Radosevich
The title itself says it all. I am a huge fan of Jenni's blog, so obviously her book is on my wish list!

Number 2: Design Sponge at Home by Grace Bonney
Similarly, I have been following Design Sponge for quite some time. A book full of home decor inspiration that is actually do-able! Major!

Number 3: Paris in Colour by Nichole Robertson
I must admit, this book was more of an impulse item. I was wandering through the bookstore and my eyes settled on the cover among the sea of other books. I flipped through some pages and the pretty pastels left a huge impression. Imagine going through the book on a rainy day, with a cup of green tea in hand. Maybe it's also due to the fact that I met some interesting French guys last night. *swooon*

PS Happy mother's day! We went to a farm to pick out some organic vegetables! And I got her a pair of legit sunglasses (no more clip-ons zomg)! How did you spend your day with the mama?

Girly prints

Soft, abstract prints seem to be dominating the world lately. But then, when have they ever left us? After the Zimmerman collection that I literally drooled all over my computer monitor, other pretty prints have caught my attention!

Absolutely adore the back slit of this Zara number!
